Character Development-
Notable...He began in the TV series by building sexbot April. His creation of BR was largely in sympathy for Spike's loneliness and he was first to recognize the sincerity of Spike's affection for Buffy and BR, protecting them from detection by the Scoobies and Buffy at considerable risk...Was elevated to 'Dad' status by BR, a role he has come to take quite seriously...Has since become a close friend of Buffy and Scoobies and performed well in several actions, most notably in the contribution of Buffy-April in the fight with Darla and the resurrection of BR...

He is not of course to be confused with his Buffyverse counterpart...

Recently Buffy (human) elevated him to a "potential" guy for her...At least as a stopgap...But he remains very shy in her presence...understandably...

Role in Spike’s Redemption-

(From "Sunnydalopolis") Created BR as a perfect neural copy of Buffy with an artificial human brain and the potential to sympathize with his plight

BR's artificial human brain and the development of her relationship with Spike

(From "Sunnydalopolis") BR's brain was a neural copy of Buffy's, the copy taken without her knowledge or consent...Using chaos theory in application to neural net modeling, Warren allowed for Buffy's sympathies for all human souls trapped in vampire bodies, and her particular sympathy for Spike to rise to the surface...However the resulting BR is a human soul, with independent thought...
Who retains Buffy's distrust and skepticism of vampires in general and Spike in particular and requires proof of his changed nature...And his willingness to seek redemption...
